Alyssa's Book Review
The Egyptian Cinderella is a great book written by Shirley Climo and illustrated by Ruth Heller. In this book, a sweet girl, named Rhodopis, is stuck in a terrible situation! When she was little, she was taken away from her home in Greece and forced to become a slave. She doesn't have any parents and three peasant girls are very mean to Rhodopis. To make matters worse, a hawk takes one of Rhodopis' beautiful, custom made slippers. The part of the story that I liked the most was when Rhodopis' master gave her a pair of dazzling, custom made slippers as a reward for being an amazing dancer. Anybody who enjoys an uplifting, well written fairy tale will love this story! -Alyssa
