The Egyptian Cinderella
By: Shirley Climo

This book is about a young girl named Rhodopis who was kidnapped by pirates and was brought back to Egypt when she was very young. Rhodopis had a hard life, she was tormented by her 3 fellow slaves everyday of her life and her only friends were the animals which she danced with at night. One night while Rhodopis was dancing with the animals her master saw her and said, “ No goddess is more nimble, such a gift deserves reward. You shall go barefoot no longer! “ . Rhodopis’ master gave her beautiful rose red slippers made out of pure gold. What Rhodopis didn’t know was that those slippers would lead to the life she dreamed of, the life she wanted. I recommend this book to people who love Egyptian stories and fairy tales.
